March Update

I have just come home from spending a little time in the north of Kenya around lake Turkana. While i have been gone there has been a pretty harsh drought going on around the country and right up to the eastern boundary of the mara too. On the western wall up against the Mara river and the olooloolo escarpment we continue to have rain which means it is all happening here. Anup and Manoj Shah have been resindent in camp for quite a while and we are very happy to be able to support these terrific photographers whose work you can find in Nat Geo, BBC, and many other media.

All around camp we are inundated with the Loita Wildebeeste population (150,000 animals) that have been birthing since feb and they have dropped hundreds of calves. As you can imagine the big cats are having a bit of a field day. It all adds upto a very very spectacular time of year and one that all should enjoy!
